Hello! I'm Erica, the artist behind this project. I grew up in Baltimore's Park Heights community, where I attended elementary, middle, and high school on the same street. From a young age, I was a wild, imaginative kid, and despite facing challenges, my creativity has always been my refuge and has stayed with me throughout my life. As an adult, I embrace my authenticity and feel confident in my creative abilities. My mission is to inspire motivation, build confidence, and foster self-assurance in others, whether through art, podcasting, or simply through chance encounters. Art has been a healing force for me, allowing me to explore, create, and express myself in ways that helped me navigate my childhood struggles. I owe much of my artistic instinct to my mother, who encouraged my exploration and creativity. She taught me how to sew my own doll clothes and play in her make up, those cherished moments have shaped who I am today. I also want to acknowledge my inspiring art teachers, especially Ms. Harris, who played a significant role boosting my confidence. With all this in mind, I'm more than willing to look a little silly to encourage donations for this important cause!
